The minutiae of marriage, the dilemma with dating, the revolving emotions on relationships, and whatever else that comes to mind are open for discussion. Join in to laugh, cry and smile to vulnerable anecdotes from myself (and my guests) and hear from various views that may lead you to where you “never saw it from that perspective”. This is where matters of the Heart and the "heart of the matter" get thought through & discussed hopefully leaving us with a better understanding than when we first came in with. Enjoy!

The MAFS crew is let loose from Quarantine to enjoy one last outing before Decision Day. Quarantine has arrived and it has already overstayed its welcome. Tensions rise as each couple endure the complexities of this "new normal". For the first time is the show's history, production had to shut down meaning that couples are staying longer with each other then ever before. Because of insecurities, expectations, past trauma, or society "standards", our take on something so wonderful can be quite worrisome. A week before The Next Generation of Gaming arrives and there's one question on half of the population's mind. No, it's not "do I go with the Ps5 or Series X/S?", but it's "do I have a man or a boy?" Ah yes, the voices of Toxic Femininity are heard and seen throughout the internet. Yes, videogames are the topic of discussion but not to decide which one is more powerful, but to debate if videogames should have this much attention in our lives. As gamers get their entertainment centers ready, their partners are wondering "Is this what I signed up for?" and getting their bags ready. Are videogames getting in the way of a relationship? Are gamers putting too much of their time in the virtual world and not putting enough time in the real world to be mean something?

This episode is pretty self explanatory as the couple discuss what they can or can't tolerate. I give my own thoughts on the subject as I find it very hard for me to have deal breakers. But on to the couples:
Amani refuses to discipline her future child with force, while Woody has reservations on such a move. Karen won't tolerate thinking that a man will just have her way with her as Miles buckles down licks her (self inflicted) wounds. Cristina's deal breaker is communication and Henry's in patience, (which both are doing horribly for each other in btw.) Tune in to find out what's going on with the other couples. Another "Tale At The Top" brings us the story of two women. One, a cliffhanger and the other, just starting. Both not looking too good. Also, a query: Would you respect a guy that comes up to only you at the club or a guy who talked to almost every chick in the place, then finally got to you? Meanwhile, the show rolls on with arguments, disagreements and a straight up walk-off! Karen gives off motherly vibes as Miles tries to break her perception of him. Cristina and Henry continue to butt heads as Cristina believes she does all work where Henry allegedly moseys along and doesn't take initiative. Brett and Olivia have budget/monetary problems and Woody & Amani have gender role issues. Finally, Bennet's friend doesn't want Bennett to leave their friend circle. There's trouble in paradise as the couples traverse rough waters on the road to forever. Amani thinks life is too perfect and is waiting for the other shoe to drop. Bennett doesn't know when to put himself first in a relationship. We made it to the honeymoon as the couples enjoy their stay at the Hotel Xcaret in Mexico. "Getting to know you" is the name of the game as the couple dive deep into each other to see how they tick. It's the newlywed's first night together as a couple ALONE! How awkward is it to not only have met your spouse hours earlier but NOW you're minutes away from spending the night with them? Do fairytale endings happen? Sure, but only in the movies - and this, unfortunately, is real life. Elisse was all too familiar with the reality surrounding her life in what seemed like forever ago. A husband not tending to his internal struggles, a religious community that prided in family having judgmental views and commenting on her every move, and a future that seemed like it was headed nowhere. Elisse had had enough. Luckily real life and ironically the 80s band Real Life had a common solution to Elisse's prayers: Send Me An Angel.
A childhood friend, turned support system, had Elisse's back every step of the way. Although, Angel didn't come without his own scars to deal with. He also needed the warmth and care of a world that was too cold for him to live in any more. So what started off as a shoulder to lean on for each other, had blossomed into a love no outside force could extinguish. It's a rollercoaster of a story filled with betrayal, loss, arrogance, "the audacity", but most importantly redemption. This couple proves that fairytale endings can come true and we should all strive to reach true love & happiness in our lives. Well, what are you waiting for?!?! Listen in to hear this amazing story!
